Rising Talent: Yung Glue

If it’s anyone who actually knows what it means to be yourself, it’s the 17 year old Eric McNeil. An artist from Florida who is formally known as “Yung Glue”. Yeah it’s a funny name, go ahead and laugh. But truth be told the name does stand for something! “Glue”, as in “Sticking to what ever you do”. It represents his motivation, dedication, and (because of the unusual but meaningful name) his creativity. Eric ALWAYS had a passion for music, simply because of the fact BET was the only thing to watch thru the day on basic cable. Started writing because of the fact that he needed to pass time or had things to get off oh his chest. Things that he couldn’t tell others. Growing up with HUGE trust issues, you don’t really want to tell anyone what’s going on in your life, so he told the paper (or what ever he could write on) his stories. It’s true he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, since he’s still a teenager everyone expects his lyrics to be the same minor lyrics that‘s about girls, cars, clothes, etc. And because he’s from the south, they expect him to make some hit dance record to get him on. But the young man is dedication to shut down and prove those expectations wrong. While reaching his goals he plans to stay himself as a person but progress in talent. The unique 17 year old started a group known as the notorious “Misfit Gang” for others who plan on living by the same motto which is “Making a name for ourselves, while remaining ourselves”. Athletes, artists, scholars, and just everyday people are joining this group because they like what it stand for and more than anything, they love being themselves. Him and his production team has huge plans so the smart thing to do would be to place your bets now. ;)

The Mind Of A Misfit (the mixtape) coming later in the year
